Proficiency-based Grading
Beginning in 2020, the New School of Montpelier began taking steps to switch from a traditional grading system to a Proficiency-Based grading system. This system will recognize students for learning specific skills, rather than completing classes. The change was mandated by the State Department of Education, but we endorse it as a more useful and flexible system.
